Service for Elderlies In Collaboration with Tai O Alliance Church
Under the leadership of Professor Phoebe Lam, and In collaboration with Tai O Alliance Church, the Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong organized a dental outreach for elderly people to provide dental access to people in remote places of Hong Kong. The program successfully served 50 patients at Tai O Alliance Church from 23rd to 24th March 2024.
With the help of 15 HKU dental students and 20 secondary school students, dental examination and different preventive measures were provided to the participating elderly. In addition to the preventive treatments, an oral health lecture were delivered to the elderly in Tai O after the clinical activities. Teenagers in Tai O were empowered by HKU dental students to take a lead in promoting oral health care throughout the programme. Small group oral hygiene workshop were held to raise community oral health literacy and guide them to take good care of their oral conditions.

聯同基督教宣道會大澳堂為長者提供服務
在林珮盈醫生的領導下，香港預防齒科學會與基督教宣道會大澳堂合作，為長者舉辦牙科外展活動，為香港偏遠地區的人士提供牙科服務。該計劃於2024年3月23日至24日在基督教宣道會大澳堂成功為50名長者提供服務。
在15名港大牙科生和20名中學生的幫助下，為參與的長者提供牙科檢查和不同的預防措施。除了預防治療外，我們還為大澳長者舉辦口腔健康講座。大澳的中學生在港大牙科生的帶領下，在整個計劃中推廣口腔保健，並以小組口腔衛生工作坊的方式，指導他們照顧自己的口腔狀況，提升社區對個人口腔健康的認識。
